I traveled almost half of the US, we visited so many different states, did as much sightseeing as possible, met so many lovely people, ate so much good food, and most importantly I was able to experience live music every single day for a whole month! The headliner of the tour was Rings of Saturn, they played their newest self-titled album live for the first time and I had the pleasure

Rebranding - Art by Xinru Liu
Mar 28, 2022 I have finally rebranded my website and all of my social media with a new artist! I had an idea of creating a piano with black and white cats as the keys whilst I was looking at my black and white cat 😹 I thought this concept would be fun but still lowkey professional. I feel like a website isn't only a place to show your work but also a place to show your personality. I can't believe my website is almost 4 years old already and it's so crazy to see how drastica

Ludum Dare 50
Yesterday was the last day of LD50, it was also my first time participating in this jam! The theme this year was "delay the inevitable" so we created "Akubi" the narcoleptic samurai who must stay awake long enough to reach the other side of the evil forest to finally rest in his bed. All the music and art was created during the jam. Akubi was made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 50 Play Now! https://teamterrible.itch.io/akubi CREDITS Code : Aaron Baumbach Art : Luke Blick Music/S

Digital Music Tutoring - Reid's Digital Music
A year ago I helped organise an online kids game jam with participants aged 6-15 years old, it was one of the most rewarding and fun experiences in my career so far! It stemmed a new passion in me for education in that age group, therefore, when it came to writing my dissertation I actually chose the topic of gamification in education, especially for music theory. It was quite stressful during my final year at university and I had to conduct primary research in times of a pan

Amplexus | Amphibians After Dark
Under the cover of darkness an army of amphibians employ drastic techniques to sire offspring of their own. 'Amplexus' is a short documentary made by Andrew Salter & Adam Hearne which quite literally sheds light on the amphibians living in central Bristol and what they get up to under the cover of darkness. Amphibians are one of the most endangered groups of animals worldwide. Habitat loss is a major contributor to this. When making this film, it was reassuring to see such a

Global Game Jam 2022
This years theme was "duality" so we came up with a game that incorporates the theme in quite a few ways! The duality between hot/cold inspired us to create a game about serving tea at different temperatures. We were also inspired by the duality of life/death, therefore, our game revolves around a Chinese deity; Bai Wuchang who helps guide spirits to the afterlife by serving them tea! Another interesting fact is that Heibai Wuchang means "Black and White Impermanence" (anothe

The Baby In Yellow - The White Rabbit Update
A couple months ago I received an email from a newly formed indie game studio called Team Terrible (https://itch.io/profile/teamterrible) that reached out to me for some potential work. They noticed I had taken part in a variety of game jams in the past and that the game they had been working on was also formed from a game jam last year. In the last few months they have gained a ton of success on their game "The Baby In Yellow" which is a Lovecraftian-inspired babysitting ga

The Composer's Life - Podcast
A few months ago I received an email from a student at Berklee asking for an interview. We arranged a call and talked for a few hours, so basically we kept in touch and became friends! She told me she was going to start a Podcast on Spotify called 'The Composer's Life' and if I would like to take part in an episode. Therefore, if you are interested in knowing a bit about my personal experience with composition and other interesting related topics give it a listen! SPOTIFY LIN

VGM Academy Masterclass: David Wise
May 15, 2021 The 7 Day Video Game Music challenge is over! We all joined the founder of the Video Game Music Academy, Dan Hulsman on a listening party livestream where we all listened to everyone's daily tracks they submitted. David Wise also joined us to listen to the livestream and give feedback for an hour but unfortunately he didn't stick around long enough to hear my music. However, he will be providing 1 to 1 feedback on a few composers next week. Fingers crossed I get
